What Is Yog?
Yog comes from the Sanskrit root yuj — to yoke, to join, to unite. Across every school of Indian philosophy that uses the word, this same root meaning holds: a deliberate joining of breath, body, mind, and the individual self toward one steady point.
That single word branches into two questions every seeker eventually asks — which inner path suits who I am, and which physical practice suits the body I actually have today. This page answers both, and points to where this guide covers each in full.
Which Marg Fits You?
The Bhagavad Gita and the broader Vedantic tradition describe four classical margs — not ranked, not exclusive, not in competition. They are different doors into the same room, suited to different temperaments. Most people lean toward one while still drawing on the others.
Tap whatever feels true below — no right answers. Your leaning marg appears live in the box beneath.

पवित्र पंचांग व संस्कृतिDifferent words, different doors — Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, Raj; Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, Restorative — all opening onto the same steadiness the word Yog has always pointed toward. There is no wrong door here, only the one that's actually open for you today.
